KTE 1: Recruitment & Enrollment of BIPOC Candidates
Aim
In partnership with Modesto City Schools (MCS), the Stanislaus team aims to double the number of multiple subject BIPOC teacher candidates placed in MCS partner schools by spring of 2024. Eventually, they aim to double the number of multiple subject BIPOC teacher candidates hired by MCS annually.
Key Leverage Areas Being Addressed
The Stanislaus team is focusing their efforts on establishing intentional placements for early field work assignments in Modesto City Elementary Schools as well as developing strategic, supportive outreach and placements/connections with BIPOC teachers within Modesto City Schools (MCS) partnership schools for multiple subject credential program (MSCP) BIPOC teacher candidates. They are also establishing an early outreach program to aspiring educators still within the Modesto system.
