KTE 2-3: Identifying and Learning of DEI prioritized skills in Clinical and Coursework

Aim

The CalState Los Angeles team aims to increase the quality and opportunities to practice social justice pedagogies as measured by incorporation into syllabi, student response to surveys about how prepared they feel to practice social justice in the classroom, and survey responses from supervisors.

Key Leverage Areas Being Addressed

The Los Angeles team is focusing their efforts on creating opportunities for mentor teachers and clinical supervisors to collaborate and learn about socially and racially just pedagogical content and practices. They are also creating dialogue circles with students to hear how they are engaging in social justice pedagogies in the classrooms.
